About KGLT

On the air since 1968, KGLT-FM, alternative public radio in Southwest Montana, has entertained and shared diverse music played by live DJs around the clock, along with informative programming and public service announcements, with its listeners.

KGLT listenrship consistently ranks in the top 25% of 21 stations in Gallatin County and collaborates with the NPR stations in Montana. We are frequent winners in the Radio category of the Best of Bozeman annual awards.

KGLT is located on the campus of Montana State University (MSU), Bozeman. KGLT’s 90 live announcers play their choice of music 22 hours every day. We offer DJ apprentice classes every semester. And we produce about 2,000 public service announcements every year.

The public service announcements (PSAs) relate to campus and community offerings, such as new classes, recreational and volunteer opportunities, events, women’s issues, returning vet issues, handicap rights, rape alerts, and drunk driver ride home options, AIDS awareness, medical care and preventative options, LBGTQ support, bullying, parenting, and environmental awareness.
